Runners' Guide

Women runningI admired my college roommate for her dedication to health and fitness.

She would get up early (even after long nights of studying) and go on runs because they helped her relax….

One day I joined her on a short run and nearly died from exhaustion – I only ran 1 mile. It wasn’t until much later, after my 2nd child was born, that I hopped on the treadmill. I am by no means ready for a marathon, but I am proud of my progress.

Back in April 2009 I started running with my good friend twice a week in the mornings... Meeting for a run at 5:15 a.m. is hard for both of us to do, but we are doing it for our health. There is talk of one day running a marathon…we’ll see!
